Our Services
General Dentistry
Dental Care of Ventura is committed to preventing dental disease in all forms. Our first priority is your well being and your optimal dental health. We will educate you about the latest products, techniques, and information to help you prevent dental diseases. There is nothing more beautiful than a natural healthy smile. We can restore your smile to an attractive, functional state with crowns, tooth colored fillings, porcelain bridges, and other precision fit restorations. We are proud to be “mercury-free”!
Sedation Dentistry
We understand that it is natural to be apprehensive when coming in for treatment, especially when previous experiences have been unpleasant. At Dental Care of Ventura our entire staff is trained to alleviate these fears and make your experience as comfortable as possible. Pharmaceutical methods have also proven successful. These methods include “valium” like drugs, laughing gas (nitrous oxide), and even IV sedation. Imagine waking up with a beautiful new smile and not remembering how it happened. Dr. Tannaz Askari is also certified by the state of California to administer oral sedation to children and every year undergoes classes to keep up with all safety precautions of the drugs administered.
Cosmetic Dentistry
The first thing most people notice is your smile. Through all porcelain crowns, thin minimal prep veneers, Zoom! 1 hour bleaching, and Invisalign, we are able to create the smile of your dreams. Smile makeovers can be achieved in as little as an hour. We only use the best dental labs in the country to fabricate your restorations. Call us today to learn how we can give you the smile you deserve.
Implants
Replacing teeth with implants has become the gold standard in dentistry. Often times they last forever and are better than normal teeth. Not only are they more functional, but more esthetic than bridges and/or partials. They can also be used in conjunction with an existing denture to increase retention up to 500%.
Orthodontics
Straightening teeth can be easier and faster than ever. Dr. Tannaz Askari is trained in 6 month braces and removable appliance therapies. Each method is particular to each case.
Partials & Dentures
For patients missing all their teeth, dentures can provide a natural, healthy and attractive smile. A complete denture is a prosthesis used to replace all missing teeth. A partial is a prosthesis that is used to replace several missing teeth. Both are removed each night to be cleaned while you sleep. They are an inexpensive and noninvasive way to give back what you’ve been missing.
Root Canals
Root canals are done to save the damaged or dead pulp in the root canal of the tooth by cleaning out the diseased pulp and reshaping the canal. The canal is filled with a rubber like material, to prevent recontamination and further damage of the tooth. The tooth is then sealed with a post and/or a gold or porcelain crown. This procedure enables patients to keep the original tooth and eliminate future tooth pain.
Extractions
Patients may choose extraction of a tooth because other alternatives are too expensive. Dentists may decide that the tooth is not repairable, and therefore remove the tooth. Dentists may also choose to remove the tooth for health reasons, such as removal of impacted wisdom teeth, and teeth associated with cysts or tumors. And in some cases, crowded teeth are removed to create a more attractive smile through orthodontics or braces.
